FONDESCH,
Inc. is working as a collaborating partner with RAMUSA to open airstrips in the
remote area of Haiti. Mr. Stan Brock Program Director will be put to use a Maule
Cessna to
the remote program in Haiti to provide free air ambulance service for the people in the rural
area of Médor, Beausejour, Leogane and more. This program will be started soon
to fly doctors, dentists, nurses and veterinarians all
flown to remote Haitian villages from Port-au-Prince to provide care and
emergency supplies.
Our mission is to
contribute to the urban sector development of Haiti by
engaging in social service activities related to
promotion of children's education, health, and community
outreach.
RAM
Construction of an Airstrip in Médor, Haiti
Mission 5/2011
The road to
Médor is treacherous. We
encountered more bumps on this road than flying the King
Air C90 from Knoxville TN to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. M.
Stan, M. Waynns and M. Joe Hurston from Air Mobile Joe
are great pilots and Mr. Dicks knows well all the safe place
when parachuted volunteers and where to
drop equipment when opening an airstrip in the remote
area. We cannot
forgot our driver Jean who helped us crossed the
mountain safely. We also thank Father Lucson for the
accommodations.
FONDESCH is also
reaching out to kids in difficult situation.
We do group counseling to youth in difficult
situation is to share and show positive attitude.
FONDESCH is now planning to join Doctor Mary Susan
Carlson to provide support, arts program and other
social services in Médor. We are also looking
for soccer shoes for the children. They are using
the airstrip as a soccer field until the free air
ambulance service starts its operation.
