SUPPORT THE ADOPT A SCHOOL PROGRAM |
| |
 |
FONDESCH corporate gave
approximately worth $10,000.00 annually in scholarships
in Haiti.
We are
focusing on improving the education and health of
children and their families in Haiti, primarily in the
remote area neighborhoods. This program designed to bridge the
gap to
help find corporate sponsors to support the "Education,
Arts and Sports programs" because the children and
teachers have very limited access to educational resources. |
One thing that we must be
very effective in this task is to help the students in
Haiti. Each one of us has a gift, something to offer to
fulfill God's mission planned for us and Haiti. This is a
long-term mission in which we will continually working
for a while to help the children and their families in
Haiti. If we are going to serve and help, we must
resolve ourselves to understand this is not a short term
band-aid, it is a long-term mission. |
|
We would like to extend our
appreciation to the President of Haiti Mr. Michel Martelly
for his inspiration and courage to support the free school cafeteria
program and
free school in Haiti for young students. We are looking
forward to meet a member of his team in order to reach out
and advocate for the students growing up in the remote area of Haiti. We
dot intent to bring any child in the United States but we
would like also in many ways with his assistance possible to
change living conditions for the children and their families
as well.
We want to invite also
Engineers, Nurses, Physicians, Media Specialists,
Administrators, Social Workers and more from all over the
world to participate in this program. You are in a good
position to assist in many ways. You are to be focused on how God leads us in any way
possible to assist others.
Our Executive Director was
part of the 14 Haitian-Americans who have been hired to help
the unaccompanied minor children with their families and
other relatives from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
to Jackson, Mississippi and assist cultural language barriers. It was not
always easy for a parent to put their child in a boat to
send them to a strange place like the United States. This
was an ultimate sacrifice for a parent , which sends their
child away in the hopes that they will have a better life. |
 |
- Now we are creating programs
and other activities for them to stay in Haiti and our goals are to
keep them happy in a safe and secure environment in their respective villages
and with their biological parents.
